Pranov Kumar is an experienced Engineering Manager at Informatica with a strong background in developing cloud-native data preparation services from scratch. With over 7 years of relevant experience, he has a deep understanding of RESTful web services, microservices development and deployment, Spring Boot framework, Hibernate framework, Hadoop, and Spark. He also has a good knowledge of video streaming technologies, mainly HLS, DASH, with specialization in DAI and advertising ecosystem, having worked with ADs mainly VPAID, VAST2.0, VMAP, and Video Analytics. Currently, Pranov is working as a Lead Software Engineer at Informatica, where he is responsible for the Enterprise Data Preparation (EDP) tool, a self-service data preparation tool used by Data Analysts and Data Scientists. He is part of the design team for building the data pipeline from data ingestion to data preparation to data publication. He has designed and implemented REST APIs using Spring Framework to support data preview of Avro, Parquet, and JSON files in EDP. He has also designed and implemented a common abstraction layer for interacting with different Hadoop distros and an event management framework using Spring's event framework. He is actively involved in design/code reviews, writing unit/integration tests, and performing POCs on cloud ecosystems like AWS and Microsoft Azure. Before joining Informatica, Pranov worked as a Senior Software Developer at Informatica and as a Software Engineer II at Adobe, where he was responsible for end-to-end delivery of the "Upload excel" as Hive table feature in EDP 10.4 and worked on Adobe Primetime, a multiscreen TV platform. Pranov has a Master of Technology in Software Systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Software Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology. He also has an Intermediate degree in PCM with Computer Science from St. Joseph's College Allahabad.
